The voice acting cast for Baldur’s Gate 3 has reunited, prompting fans to speculate that a big update, new content or changes could be coming to the critically acclaimed RPG. The game recently launched on PS5 so it’s widely available to more players now, meaning developer Larian Studios may have a lot on its shoulders about exciting post-launch updates and additional fixes.
As reported by GamesRadar, actress Devora Wilde, who voices Lae’zel in Baldur’s Gate 3, recently posted a tweet tagging every actor from the game with the caption “nothing to see here, just some origins.” The actors tagged in the tweet include Neil Newbon (Astarion), Tim Downie (Gale), Samantha Beart (Karlach), Amelia Tyler (Narrator), Jennifer English (Shadowheart), and Theo Solomon (Wyll).

Wilde also mentions that it’s the first time that all the actors “have been in a room together” with Newbon adding that it’s by “complete accident.” Naturally, fans went into rampant speculation mode after Wilde maybe not-so-slyly teased “nothing to see here.”
Larian Studios promised that changes will be made to Baldur’s Gate 3 depending on feedback after launch so it’s possible that the studio might be bringing all the actors back to record new lines for potential new scenes and dialogue. With some players crossing the finish line of the main quest, there has been a bit of criticism aimed at the game’s third act which might be remedied by an update down the line to improve upon those issues.
If you want to take it a step further, this could also be an indication that new story content in the form of an expansion or DLC might be on its way too. Most of all, fans are just hoping that Karlach gets a happy ending. She’s a fan-favourite character and also our top pick for the best companion in the game, so fans feel pretty strongly about her resolution.
In related news, Larian Studios is currently working on crossplay support for the PS5 and PC versions of Baldur’s Gate 3 which will only arrive as an update in the near future. A tech analysis by Digital Foundry revealed that the PS5 version is basically the PC version running at ultra settings.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for PS5 and PC. An Xbox version is planned to release later this year.
