Larian Studios announced the Baldur’s Gate 3 early access release date during a developer stream last night. The game arrives in early access on 30 September 2020 after receiving a slight delay from its expected August release. While the studio hoped to launch the game sooner, fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on it.

According to Larian Studios, the early access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will include five origin characters. In addition, players can create their own customized character too in typical Larian tradition. Players can choose between Astarion (Elf or Vampire), Gale (human wizard), Shadowheart (half-elf cleric) and Wyll (human warlock). Larian claims that more characters are set to arrive throughout early access.
The Baldur’s Gate 3 will let players experience an early version of the game’s first act. This includes 80 combat encounters, 45,980 lines of dialogue, 596 characters and 146 spells.
