Developer Larian will be attending PAX East in Boston from 27 February 2020 to 1 March 2020 and will be debuting the very first gameplay for its upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 live on stage. According to an announcement video, the gameplay will be played live by Larian founder and creative director Swen Vincke along with a “very special guest”. The gameplay reveal will also be streamed live for everyone to watch who will not be attending PAX East.
The Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay video promises to provide an in-depth look at the game, mechanics, story and more. It will then be followed by a Q&A panel where developers at Larian will answer questions regarding the game.

But that is not the only good news. The developer also teased what’s to come in a cryptic message hinting at the next adventure on the Sword Coast.
They then released an image which you can see below that may be in reference to Descent in Avernus, the Dungeons and Dragons tabletop campaign book that may act as a prequel Baldur’s Gate 3. The image shows a Mind Flayer and the process of ceremorphosis which sees the parasite transform a host into a fully-grown Flayer.
The reveal will take place at 22:30 SAT on 27 February 2020 for those who want to tune in. Anyone who is a fan of the series is no doubt very excited to see this gameplay reveal. I know I am.
