PlayStation Plus Premium and Deluxe members can now play Baldur’s Gate 3 for two hours without purchasing the game. The trial is now available on the PS5 and allows players to test out the game for a limited (very limited you can’t do much in two hours) time.
Alongside Baldur’s Gate 3, a Lord of the Rings: Gollum trial was also added (lols) and it only lasts for an hour. I don’t know if you care enough about 2023’s worst game to play it for an hour but the option is there if you want.

Of course, you’ll need to be subscribed to the higher-tier PlayStation Plus service. So in SA that is the Deluxe tier and in other regions where cloud streaming is available, that is called the Premium tier.
Sony is currently running a promotion on PlayStation Plus for Black Friday which offers existing subscribers 25% off annual renewals and 30% off for lapsed or new members. This discount isn’t much after the service saw a substantial price hike earlier this year.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently nominated for eight prizes at The Game Awards 2023. The game is currently sitting at 96% on Metacritic compared to 34% for The Lords of the Rings: Gollum.
The popular RPG is also getting a limited physical release next year in the form of a Deluxe Edition. It will launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in early 2024.
