Baldur's Gate 3 New Evil Endings Larian Studios

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Arrives on PC This Week – Consoles Coming Later

Developer Larian Studios is preparing to release the anticipated patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC this week which will add new content to the game such as new endings in addition to new animations, fixes and more. The patch will also introduce official mod support to the game across all platforms. However, patch 7 will release on PC first before it hits PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at a later date.

Baldur’s Gate 3 director Swen Vincke confirmed that patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 will hit PC sometime this week, though he didn’t give a specific date. Judging by the release schedule of past patches and updates for the game, it will likely arrive on Thursday or Friday. Vincke also stressed that the patch will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles at a later date as the team is still busy working on it.

Patch 7 will probably be the final major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 before Larian Studios moves onto its next projects. Fans have unofficially called this patch the “Definitive Edition” update due to the wealth of content that will be added, bringing it full circle since the game’s release last year.

Among the many improvements and fixes coming in the patch, the two biggest additions to look forward to in patch 7 will be the new evil endings and mod support. Last month, Larian Studios released a small teaser showing Lae’zel’s new evil ending to give us a taste of the new cutscenes and content. While it’s possible to already mod Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC through Nexus Mods, the update will add curated mods across PC and consoles. This is similar to Bethesda’s games which also support mods on the console versions.
