Larian Studios has revealed that the long-awaited patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is live right now on PC, bringing with it a bunch of new content including new evil endings, new animations, new dialogue, mod support, a modding toolkit and much more. Unfortunately, the company also announced that patch 7’s release on consoles has been pushed to October in order to give the studio more time to work out all the “necessary technical checks and requirements” for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Patch 7 is quite a substantial update for Baldur’s Gate 3. It introduces a handful of new evil endings to give evil-aligned players or Dark Urge enjoyers a more fulfilling conclusion to their stories. Additionally, Larian Studios also made improvements to split screen multiplayer along with several tweaks and general fixes. Official modding tools have been added to the game now, giving players access to several easy-to-install community-created mods without needing to go through Nexus Mods or third-party websites.
Patch 7 is live as of today on PC, though console players will have to wait a bit longer to get the anticipated update. Larian confirmed this on a recent X post, stating that it has made the decision to push the planned PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles update to October as it still has to go through approval processes and technical checks:
Mac and console players, it’s going to take a little longer to get Patch 7 through all the necessary technical checks and requirements and into your hands.
Although later than we originally expected, you should be diving into Patch 7 this October.

Once patch 7 launches on consoles, it will also give players the same modding tools via a new tab on the main menu (similar to Bethesda games) that will allow you to install mods, presumably ones that have already been approved by PlayStation and Xbox and ported to consoles.
