The long-awaited patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 initially released on PC last month, bringing a total of 13 new evil endings to the game alongside various quality of life improvements, performance fixes and official mod support by Larian Studios. After a month of waiting, Larian has finally released patch 7 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles as well as Mac.
Patch 7 comes in at 7.4GB on consoles, adding mod support to Baldur’s Gate 3 (similar to Bethesda’s mod support for Skyrim and Fallout 4). Under the newly-added Mod Manager section on the main menu, players can install a variety of mods to change up the gameplay, add new customisation options and even change the designs of the polyhedral dice. As of writing, Larian Studios is offering a handful of mods – more will be added in batches as soon as modders make them compatible with consoles.
Some mods that are highly recommended on PS5 right now include Double XP, which doubles the rate in which you can gain experience points to level up (finally making it possible to hit level 12 before leaving Act 1); Hair Unlocked, which adds the hairstyles of several unique NPCs into the character creator that weren’t originally available; and Adjustable Party Limit, which increases the amount of companions you can have in your party. This makes it easier to unlock all the unique dialogue and reactions from companions while being able to complete their personal quests in one playthrough.
Patch 7 is starting to roll out to Mac & console players!

If you’ve been putting off an evil Dark Urge playthrough (which we strongly recommend you play), then the 13 new evil endings might entice you to give playing the bad guy a shot.
