Larian Studios is currently hard at work on Patch 7 for its award-winning RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s scheduled to arrive sometime in September with beta testing already underway. This will likely be the last major update for the game before the studio moves on, though it’s shaping up to be a lot more substantial than we suspected. A new teaser has arrived from Patch 7 showing off a new ending that players can unlock for Lae’zel.
While most of the details for Patch 7 are still being kept under wraps, a teaser has been released showing a new ending that players can unlock for Lae’zel which will be added as part of the upcoming update. Spoiler warning ahead if you want to save the surprise.
In the teaser, Lae’zel is shown leading riding off on a red dragon and leading the charge (presumably against Vlaakith), using the Illithid powers to control the dragons. Obviously this is one of the “bad” endings as players are encouraged to fight off the tadpole’s influence.
Judging by this teaser, it seems like Patch 7 is going to add quite a bit of new content to the game including cutscenes, entire endings and more. We already know that the Dark Urge evil path will get some new cutscenes but we didn’t expect it to extend to other characters as well. It’s a good sign that Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 might be the “Definitive Edition” cap to the game that goes out with a bang.
