Baldur’s Gate 3 Stats Reveal Most Romanced Character, Popular Classes and More

Larian Studios has revealed a bunch of stats for its latest RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3, showing the most romanced character, the most popular classes and how many players got turned into a sentient wheel of cheese, among many other things. The survey presumably gathered data across both PC and PS5, revealing that over 1.3 million players also managed to complete the game to the end and see the credits.

Firstly, the stats for Baldur’s Gate 3 reveal that 94% of players opted to make a custom character as opposed to use an Origin character. Players also spent a combined 8,196 years in character creator – we can’t blame them. 1.24 million players were also transformed into a sentient wheel of cheese.

Other stats show that Gale was the most chosen Origin character for the game followed by Astarion in second place and Karlach in third place. As for class and race choices, the most popular class is the Paladin, with Sorcerer and Fighter in second and third place, respectively. The most popular race was, unsurprisingly, the Elf followed by Human in second place and Half-Elf in third place. Halflings were the least chosen race.

Digging a bit deeper into the subclasses, Larian Studios reveals that the Berserker Barbarian was the most popular subclass. College of Lore Bard grabbed second place and Tempest Domain Cleric grabbed third place. Furthermore, 2 million players seemed to have survived a dinosaur attack (there’s a dinosaur in the game?!) while on the less violent side, 48.5 million players pet Scratch.

Finally, 51.3% of players decided to pick Shadowheart as the most romanced character in Baldur’s Gate 3. Karlach got second place while Lae’zel got third place.

In related news, Baldur’s Gate 3 recently received a DLC-sized free update that added a new epilogue for the end of the game, new modes and several great new features alongside various quality of life improvements.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for PC and PS5.
