Batman and Shaggy Brawl in First MultiVersus Trailer

WB Games and developer Play First Games have released the first CG trailer for the upcoming MultiVersus game. The blockbuster brawler aims to merge all of WB Game’s iconic characters and series into one Smash Bros clone.

The brawler includes characters like Batman, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Scooby-Doo and even fighters from HBO shows like Game of Thrones. MultiVersus plans on releasing in the coming months as a free-to-play fighter on mobile, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. However, there is a closed alpha test kicking off on 19 May ahead of the open beta in July.

The trailer does a great job setting things up. We get a glimpse at a handful of characters and if you know Warner Bros. many of them will look very familiar.

There’s Superman, Batman, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark, the Tazmanian Devil, Tom, Jerry, the Iron Giant, Daphny, Scooby-Doo, Wonder Woman, Adventure Time characters and even a few characters that seem to have been created just for the game.

Sadly, it seems that WB Games hasn’t included any Harry Potter characters in MultiVersus. There might be some nasty licensing issues surrounding the franchise at the moment that could prevent this. Hopefully, Warner Bros can sort that out in the future. The publisher plans on adding new characters to the brawler in constant updates. At the moment, they have yet to reveal the full lineup for this title.

Give the trailer a watch below and witness the epic class of franchises. You can follow more MultiVersus content by heading over to the official site here.
