Batman: Arkham Trilogy has received an October release date for Nintendo Switch. The bundle was first announced back at a Nintendo Direct event in June, which compiles developer Rocksteady’s critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight in one package along with all previously released DLC. It was originally only listed as launching in Fall sometime but now we have a concrete release date.
As reported by Video Games Chronicle, Batman: Arkham Trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch on 13 October 2023. This marks the first time that the series has appeared on Switch. The collection is being developed by Turn Me Up Games, which previously handled the Switch ports for games like It Takes Two, Borderlands Legendary Collection and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.

The official description of Batman: Arkham Trilogy from Nintendo reads:
“Become Gotham City’s ultimate protector across the iconic Batman: Arkham Trilogy. Face off against notorious DC Super-Villains: The Joker, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and more in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Step into the shadows of Batman: Arkham City’s open world, the new maximum security ‘home’ for thugs, gangsters, and insane criminal masterminds. In Batman: Arkham Knight, tear through the streets of Gotham and take on the ultimate threat in the trilogy’s epic conclusion.”
As much as fans want a continuation of the Arkham saga, Rocksteady is currently working on Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League instead. However, the game’s development doesn’t seem to be smooth-sailing as it was delayed to 2024 following widespread backlash for its gameplay trailer, which fans felt relied too heavily on live service elements and its gear system that’s ripe for monetisation. Sadly, the delay is unlikely to result in these live service elements being removed, according to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier.
In Batman-related news, Jensen Ackles fans have banded together to promote the Supernatural star as a potential candidate for the next Caped Crusader in the DC Universe.
