EA and DICE are still struggling to make Battlefield 2042 a somewhat enjoyable game but microtransactions have, of course, taken top priority at the studio. A set of in-game store items and a premium currency which will be used to purchase certain items have leaked online after the latest update 4.0 landed for the game.
Battlefield 2042 will soon turn into a live-service game with a range of cosmetic items for sale that live outside of the game’s Battle Pass.

Players will be able to purchase cosmetic bundles that rotate in the store which include soldier, weapon and vehicle cosmetics. You will also be able to purchase XP boost items which grant players a certain duration of double XP for not only weapons but also roles and classes.
EA and DICE have yet to officially announce any sort of in-game store for Battlefield 2042. The game launched with the idea of a season pass system. However, it was just a matter of time before something like this was implemented into the game. Keep in mind that this is a leak so things might change.
We also don’t know when EA and DICE plan on adding the store to Battlefield 2042. At the moment, DICE is currently trying to fix the game which has lost almost all of its players since its launch in November. EA and DICE are implementing map changes into the game with each new season of content. The question of the game’s relevancy still remains in the air.
