Battlefield 2042 Technical Test Invites Spotted – Check Your Emails

Select players will soon be able to enjoy the new Battlefield 2042 game. EA and DICE are kicking off the very closed and very confidential test next week. According to reports, players have begun receiving their invites via email. The email claims that the test will run between 12 – 16 August and only be available for three hours a day.

The Battlefield 2042 technical test is also extremely confidential and requires signing a non-disclosure agreement. It also means that players aren’t allowed to share any footage, feedback or thoughts on the gameplay experience.

According to the email, signing up for the Battlefield 2042 technical test, even after getting an invite, does not secure you a spot. So if you have the mail then don’t get your hopes up just yet. The test is also mainly used to gather information and intel on the core gameplay loop and stability of the experience. The email reads:

We’re excited to invite you to register for our upcoming Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series S|X! This Technical Playtest will be focused on gathering intel on our core gameplay loop, technical performance and stability. This will all be done in a closed environment and under a strict NDA – you don’t want to miss out!

The Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest is for our upcoming Battlefield™ game that was announced early last month. This Technical Playtest will be running from the dates of August 12th – August 16th with various session dates available during those days. The intel from this Technical Playtest will guide the development team in launching the game as smoothly as possible, so your participation is much appreciated!

This Battlefield 2042 test was originally meant to take place in July. However, it was delayed to August to accommodate cross-play. This means players who are participating in the test are able to play with and against other players on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. If you want to try your luck and sign up for the test, you need an EA Games Playtesting account. Create one here.  This account is used for all EA tests under the brand. If you have one already, keep an eye on your emails.
