EA is set to kick off the Battlefield Mobile playtesting in the next few weeks. The company announced back in July that they were working on a dedicated Battlefield experience made especially for mobile devices. The game is a free-to-play shooter that follows a similar approach to Call of Duty Mobile. According to EA, users can now pre-register to take part in the limited Battlefield Mobile playtest but there is a catch – it is open in very specific regions.

When the Battlefield Mobile playtest kicks off, users in Indonesia and the Philippines will be the first gamers to jump into the action. At the moment, only users in those two regions can sign up for the playtest but EA says they will open it up to more countries soon. In addition, the Battlefield Mobile playtest is only available on Android. Specifically, users need to have a smartphone with Android 7.0 and up.

EA says that the Battlefield Mobile playtest is extremely limited at the moment with only a few slots available to users. They also claim that gamers won’t be able to sideload the APK and jump into the game without being invited. They also confirmed that all your progression will not carry over to the full release.

So at the moment, the playtest is quite restricted but you should keep an eye on the official Google Play Store link for the game. Once EA opens up the playtest to more regions, users should be able to enrol in the game by signing up.

Battlefield Mobile is currently in development by Industrial Toys. The original founder of Bungie and one of the creators of the Halo franchise, Alex Seropian is currently heading up the project. The official game description reads:
