The much-rumoured Battlefield Hub has been confirmed by EA during its EA Play Live stream. In short, Battlefield Portal is a place where players can make their own Battlefield 2042 matches using assets, maps, weapons, vehicles and more from all past Battlefield games.

In Battlefield Portal, players can make their own games using custom presets or they can completely code their own mode by adding strings of assets together. EA says the sheer number of possibilities will make Battlefield Portal an incredible experience for players.

Some examples of a Battlefield Portal mode include 100 duck-sized robots vs 1 giant tank. Matches where every death results in a brand new loadout upon spawning. EA also demonstrated another mode based on Battlefield 1942 against Battlefield 2042 where 4 players flew helicopters and 32 players were on the ground trying to take them down.

Best of all, the assets, maps, vehicles and weapons from the entire Battlefield series are all deployable in the mode. This means players can go wild when it comes to creating the best, most unique experience outside of the traditional gameplay.

Each mode also comes with specific rules like reducing the team health, increasing vehicle damage and armour and so much more.

Discover Battlefield Portal – an all-new, community-driven platform where players will be able to change the rules of war by creating, sharing and discovering unexpected battles from Battlefield’s iconic past, present, and future.

Battlefield Portal ships alongside Battlefield 2042 on 22 October 2021. Players can also enjoy some pre-set modes that EA have created to test out the waters. From there, you can then create your unique experience and match and publish it online for other players to join.

Take a look at the reveal trailer down below that touches on some of the elements available in the mode at launch.
