Judas BioShock Creator Ken Levine Release Window

BioShock Creator’s New Game ‘Judas’ Gets Release Window

Judas, the new game from BioShock creator Ken Levine, has a release window. Publisher Take-Two Interactive says it plans to launch the debut title from Ghost Story Games between now and March 2025, which is quite a massive window. Judas will be one of 87 games that Take-Two is planning to release in this window as well, though 38 of those are mobile games.

In its latest earnings results this week, Take-Two confirmed that Judas will launch within the next couple of years though didn’t land on any concrete release date. It’s possible that the game might be delayed, but that’s the target set by the publisher right now.

Speaking to IGN in a recent interview, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated:

“We did have some slippage in the last few years. We feel really stable right now. I feel great about our upcoming schedule. Of course, there’s always the possibility of some slippage but the teams seem to be functioning really well and I’m optimistic about delivering great titles to the marketplace on an ongoing basis.”

Judas was officially unveiled in December from Levine’s newly formed studio, Ghost Story Games, following the closure of BioShock studio Irrational Games. The game puts players in the shoes of Judas, the survivor of a disintegrating ship in space who must form alliances with their worst enemies in order to make it off the ship in one piece.

The reveal trailer for Judas showed off gameplay that looks very similar to BioShock, including a first-person perspective and harnassing different elemental powers and abilities. Little else is known about the mysterious game but it will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

In related news, Netflix is moving ahead with its live-action BioShock movie as it previously tapped I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence to direct the project.
