Black Myth: Wukong Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Crazy Boss Fights

A new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong, the upcoming Soulslike action-RPG from developer Game Science and based on Journey to the West, has arrived, showing off some crazy new boss fights and enemies. The game is currently set to release on 20 August 2024 for current-gen consoles and PC.

The latest WeGame Tonight 2024 gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Wukong mostly focuses on showing off some awesome new and creative boss fights. Bosses are one of the staples of Soulslike games, known for their challenge. It looks like Black Myth will certainly deliver on that challenge judging by the latest gameplay, though we’ll have to wait for the final release to see how much it leans into the difficulty.

The official description of Black Myth: Wukong reads:

“Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. You shall set out as the Destined One to venture into the challenges and marvels ahead, to uncover the obscured truth beneath the veil of a glorious legend from the past.”

In case you missed it, check out last year’s gameplay trailer for Black Myth from Gamescom which highlights more combat, exploration, weapons and enemies.

Black Myth: Wukong also made our list of the most anticipated games we can’t wait to play in 2024. So far, everything shown from the game looks excellent from the inspired visuals largely based on Chinese mythology to the tight combat that we’ve grown to love from Soulslike titles.
