Game Science has released the Black Myth: Wukong PC benchmark tool giving players the opportunity to test their rigs ahead of the game’s launch next week. The benchmark tool is a free download on Steam that evaluates your PC by running through various scenes from the game.
Players can then tweak the settings of the benchmark to enable and disable certain visual effects. In addition, you can run the benchmark at various resolutions. After the test runs, it will then provide the average FPS.
Game Science says the Black Myth: Wukong PC benchmark tool should give players a good idea of how the final product will run on their system. However, the benchmark doesn’t necessarily dictate the exact performance you’ll get across the entire final game.
By the sounds of things, there might be some in-game sequences in the final game that are a bit more demanding than others. Perhaps these will put greater strain on your PC rig.
All eyes are on Black Myth: Wukong at the moment. Especially when it comes to the game’s performance on PC. We know it will be quite a demanding experience from a technical point of view, however, gamers are hoping that even with its high-end visuals, the experience has been optimised for all types of PC builds.
So far, the Black Myth: Wukong PC benchmark tool has gamers believing that if they don’t have a high-end PC, they aren’t going to enjoy the game due to its demanding requirements. I guess more people need to run these tests and share insight before we can decide.
You can grab the benchmark tool from Steam here. It is free and available whether or not you have pre-ordered the game.
Black Myth: Wukong releases on 20 August. The review embargo is set for 16 August and pre-load starts on 18 August.
