During Bandai Namco’s panel at Anime Expo 2024 over the weekend, the publisher officially announced Bleach Rebirth of Souls, a new 3D fighting game for consoles and PC. The trailer was brief and didn’t show much gameplay but we got a good look at characters like Ichigo, Orihime, Rukia, Uryu and Chad and Soul Society reapers Renji and Byakuya. Byakuya is shown unleashing his Bankai while Ichigo dons his iconic hollow mask.

The official description of Bleach Rebirth of Souls provided by Bandai Namco reads:’

“Awaken the blade and reverse your fate in Engage in thrilling action-packed battles with iconic characters from the legendary anime franchise including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad). In the game, players will be able to unleash unique sword abilities like Bankai and unlock new forms in battle to claim victory against their opponents. Bandai Namco will unveil many more exciting details about the game in the months to come.”

Bleach Rebirth of Souls marks the first traditional Bleach fighting game in years, which is excellent news for fans of the long-running shonen franchise. The anime had a resurgence in mainstream media over the past few years with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, so now would be the perfect time to bank on a Bleach game available on all platforms.
