Blizzard has once again confirmed that Diablo 4 is not coming to Xbox Game Pass. The studio has been forced to comment on the matter following a supposed leaked image which appeared online. The image was from a Brazilian payment app called PicPay which advertised Diablo 4 as part of the Xbox Game Pass lineup.
After the image went viral, Xbox Game Pass users have been hoping for an announcement. The announcement has arrived but it is not the news they were hoping for. Community Manager Mike Ybarra’s announcement was “This is not happening”.

It is only natural to think that Diablo 4 would arrive on Xbox Game Pass at some point. Given that the current Microsoft X Activision merger is almost signed off, the company has, in the past, claimed it wanted to bring as many games to the service as possible.
This is not happening.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that he had plans to add as many Activision Blizzard games to Xbox Game Pass. This included Overwatch, Diablo and Call of Duty. However, Microsoft has yet to announce any specific details on this. The deal hasn’t been signed off just yet so expect some official details when it does.
