Blizzard Details First Diablo 4 Post-Launch Update

While Diablo 4 won’t be out until tomorrow, players who pre-ordered the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game had early access to the title over the weekend. Blizzard Entertainment has now detailed the first post-launch update for the game, which introduces further balances to classes such as Sorcerer and Rogue as well as an increase to enemy health and more.

The small hotfix for Diablo 4 isn’t a massive update but it is a significant one for players hoping to jump into the Sorcerer and Rogue classes. For the Sorcerer, the Flame Shield is specifically tweaked so that, once equipped into an Enchantment slot, it’s placed on a full cooldown. The Rogue’s Inner Sight ability will now have a 4 second delay before another enemy becomes marked. Additionally, enemy health has been slightly increased in higher World Tiers as well.

The reception to Diablo 4 has been mostly positive so far, though some players have noted that certain classes are slower to become viable than others. The Sorcerer and Rogue classes aren’t part of this issue as they can become pretty powerful in the initial hours of the game without much effort, though most of the complaints are primarily aimed at the Barbarian and Druid classes. Blizzard has yet to rebalance the problematic classes so we’ll have to wait for more updates to remedy those problems.

Diablo 4 launches on 6 June 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
