Bloober Team Cronos The New Dawn Gameplay Trailer

Bloober Team’s Cronos: The New Dawn Gets Intense Gameplay Trailer

Bloober Team, the studio behind The Medium and last year’s acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake, have released a gameplay trailer for its upcoming new survival horror title, Cronos: The New Dawn. Leaning more towards action than any other game the studio has made before, Cronos: The New Dawn isn’t short on intense violence and horror either.

Cronos: The New Dawn features third-person over-the-shoulder gameplay similar to what we saw in the Silent Hill 2 remake. However, the mood is considerably different, opting for a washed out sci-fi aesthetic with horror elements in the form of the game’s monstrous enemies. The game also features a unique mechanic where enemies can merge together, creating more powerful variations of the brutes (which we imagine will be quite challenging to deal with).

The official description for Cronos: The New Dawn reads:

“In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity—defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal. During battle, quick decisions can mean the difference between life and death.”

Bloober Team have come a long way in the gaming world. The studio started off developing smaller indie horror games like the Layers of Fear series, Observer and Blair Witch before releasing the well-received psychological horror title, The Medium, in 2021. It wasn’t until the Silent Hill 2 remake that the team was able to really flex their creative muscles, earning it multiple nominations at The Game Awards in 2024.

Cronos: The New Dawn launches this year on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Watch the full gameplay trailer below:
