Borderlands 3 DLC – Sir Hammerlock Gets Married and Steam Release Date Confirmed

While Borderlands 3 launched back in September of 2019, Steam users have been left out of the party due to the Epic Games Store agreement with Gearbox Software and 2K Games. However, that is about to change as Borderlands 3 will release on Steam on 13 March 2020 and along with it will come cross-play between the two PC clients. The game has finally been listed on Steam so you can go ahead and wishlist it here. Gearbox Software has also announced the second major Borderlands 3 DLC called Guns, Love, and Tentacles – The Marriage of Wainright and Hammerlock.

The DLC will see Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs host a wedding ceremony on the ice planet of Xylourgos. Unfortunately, a band of cultists have crashed the party and it falls to the player and your friends to try sort it out. Popular Borderlands 3 character Gaige will also be making a return with her robot Deathtrap and the Borderlands 3 DLC will feature new cosmetic items, legendary gear, class mods and an over-the-top campaign to experience.

The Borderlands 3 Guns, Love and Tentacles – The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock DLC will land on 26 March 2020 and is part of the Season Pass. Users can also purchase it separately if they don’t own it. As for the Steam release, Gearbox will be launching this on 13 March with cross-play enabled on day one between Steam and the Epic Games Store. According to Gearbox, the developer is looking for ways to further enhance the cross-play experience including mailing items to other platforms and possible PC to console support. We don’t know when this will happen though.
