Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut launches on 18 March 2021 for all participating platforms. Along with new cosmetics and game updates, the add-on features a whole new Raid boss called Hemovorous the Invincible. This gigantic Varkid has been locked away behind a door in Pandora that’s been locked since Borderlands 3 launched back in 2019. Gearbox says that the door has now been opened and that players can venture into the area to take on the creature.

Like the past raids, players can expect a tough-as-nails challenge throughout the experience. In addition, there will be loads of loot to obtain and hundreds of Varkids to slay along the way. Anyone who enjoys the Borderlands 3 end-game grind is most likely grinning from ear to ear right now.

The raid is not the only big content drop arriving in Borderlands 3. Director’s Cut will include a series of murder mystery missions that are set in new locations and require the use of a crime scene analysis tool in order to solve them. Players will team up with Ava as they investigate the murders and start in her new Podcast. The missions will take players to Promethea, Eden-6, and Nekrotafeyo in search of answers. Of course, there will be plenty of loot to gather too.

Gearbox also announced a new Vault Card system which are bundles of themed loot players can obtain while playing the game. Players will equip a Vault Card and as they gain experience this card will also level up unlocking a massive cache of themed cosmetics and powerful loot. The Vault card also comes with their own daily and weekly challenges which will drive players back to the fight.

The first Vault Cars launches alongside the rest of the content on 18 March 2021. This card is themed around the previous Borderlands characters from the series. The remaining two cards are scheduled to launch before the end of 2021. You can watch the entire Borderlands Show down below if you really want to put up with it:
