If you’ve played Apex Legends, you will be very familiar with the Borderlands 3 pinging system as it looks very similar and there is no more need to use a mic, as the sytem will allow players to communicate without speaking. Gearbox showed off the Borderlands 3 pinging system in a short video which you can view at the bottom of this article.
The system allows players to mark anything they will ever need to, from random points on the map to enemies, loot and just about everything else you can think of in a very smooth and easy-to-use way. Personally, I don’t like speaking over a mic a lot I tend to stutter, especially in intense situations, so this is a great feature in my opinion. It also allows for gamers from different countries, speaking different languages, to effectively communicate during an online game session.
Further the game will have more accessibility options, including remappable controls, support for the Xbox Adaptive Controller, subtitles and closed caption options. Basically, Gearbox is making the game accessible to as many players as possible, which is always great to see from a developer.
Borderlands 3 releases on 13 September 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Don’t forget to check out our comprehensive Borderlands 3 South African pricing guide if you plan on picking up a physical copy of the game.
