The long wait for Borderlands 3 is finally coming to an end when the game launches a bit later this month, on 13 September 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Borderlands 3 is probably one of the most anticipated titles for most gamers out there and now, you can mark those calendars and set those alarm clocks as Gearbox has revealed the Borderlands 3 launch times and when you can preload if you purchased the game digitally, including when PC gamers can preload.
The PC version preload gets a special mention here because last month, it looked like preloading wouldn’t be ready for the game on the Epic Games Store, where it is a timed PC exclusive. However, this seems to have now changed as PC gamers will be able to preload the game as well.
Gearbox announced the Borderlands 3 launch times as well as when you can preload the game in a new post and South African’s will be happy to know that they can start playing the game on 13 September at 00:00 SAST on consoles and at 01:00 SAST on PC. First, check out the two images featuring console and PC release times for the game.
Gearbox also explained that on all platforms, you will be able to preload the game roughly 48 hours before launch, which means South Africans should be able to preload Borderlands 3 on 11 September at 00:00 SAST on the platform of their choice.
At the time of writing, the exact file size for each platform is still unknown, as the PC system requirements point toward 75 GB HDD space (which might not be the same as download requirement) and the Xbox Store page points towards roughly 40 GB for consoles.
