Borderlands 3 release date

Borderlands 3 Release Date to be Announced This Week

When Gearbox Software announced Borderlands 3 last week, the internet exploded. It wasn’t just some hype-building announcement with a teaser, but instead, the developer showed a glorious gameplay trailer that gave this fan goosebumps. Then, there’s also Borderlands Remastered coming our way soon, so there is definitely a lot to look forward to. However, one extremely important thing missing from all the announcements at Pax East is a Borderlands 3 release date.

Thankfully, we will not have to wait long for a Borderlands 3 release date. No, this isn’t an April Fool’s day prank. Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford revealed on Twitter that they will announce the Borderlands 3 release date this week, 3 April 2019, to be exact. Sure, this is an announcement about an announcement, but then again it is about Borderlands 3.

No specific time for the release date announcement has been revealed and since Gearbox Software is based in the US, South African might have to mark those calendars for 4 April, as it could get announced early in the morning for us.

It is great to see that the developers aren’t making fans wait until E3 2019 to make a splash with the release date announcement. Given that both the original Borderlands and The Presequel released in the month of October, while Borderlands 2 released in the month of September, I predict that we will see an October 2019 release date, Thursday, 31 October to be exact. The great thing is that we will know in just a couple of days, so you can jump on here and tell me how wrong or right I was.

To get hyped for the Borderlands 3 release date announcement, go ahead and check out the awesome gameplay trailer yet again, then tell us what you think the release date will be in the comment section below.
