Borderlands 3 Secret Messages Found in Morse Code

Avid Vault Hunters have been bombarded with awesome information and trailers for Borderlands 3. We simply can’t wait for the game to release on 14 September and almost everything about it sounds fantastic. One billion guns, crazy gameplay, characters and more. The only thing that is a bit negative for some PC gamers is that the game will be an Epic Games Store timed-exclusive, but a launcher really should stop true fans from experiencing the game. With so much information out there, Gearbox has still decided to tease us a bit with a Borderlands 3 secret message found in some Morse code.

The Borderlands 3 secret messages ask two important questions: “Where is the first vault hunter?” and “Who is the Destroyer?”. These messages were hidden in Morse code when the Borderlands Twitch Channel was offline and can only be seen in the image that is displayed then. The Borderlands 3 secret messages are, to say the least, very well hidden, but YouTuber Joltzdude139 still managed to discover them.

There are a lot of theories out there about what these messages mean and fans are having a very detailed discussion over on Reddit. For those who don’t know, the Destroyer is an absolutely massive creature with one eye and tentacles that was imprisoned in the vault by the Eridians. This took place thousands of years before the events of the original Borderlands. We also battled it as the final boss in Borderlands and it was supposedly dead. Further, Handsome Jack used the Destroyer’s eye in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, turning it into a weapon called Eye of Helios.

Some theories suggest that the first Vault Hunter could very well be the Destroyer itself, blessed (or cursed) with nearly limitless power as the legend goes. Maybe the Borderlands 3 secret message just points towards a return of the Destroyer or it is just a little fun Easter Egg for fans to find.
