If you have not played Borderlands before, Lilith is one of the main protagonists in the film. She was a playable character in the original game and a supporting character in both Borderlands 2 and 3. The Borderlands movie is currently in pre-production at Lionsgate with excitive producer and game creator Randy Pitchford overseeing the project.
Very little is know about the upcoming movie. However, we know it will be based on the popular video game series from Take-Two Interactive. The film has no release window yet but is being organized by members close to Take-Two Interactive and Gearbox Software. This includes Strauss Zelnick, chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive. Emmy Yu is overseeing the film for Arad Productions. Lucy Kitada will oversee the project for Picturestart.
Known for her role as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, Cate Blanchett could be the perfect fit for Lilith. With that being said, we don’t know if this is true or not. The studio will announce the cast at a later date. For now, take this with a pinch of salt.
