The Borderlands movie will soon be available for you to purchase digitally and stream online. The film launched on 8 August worldwide at cinemas and has gone down as one of the biggest box office busts of all time. As a result, Lionsgate has pushed the digital release of the film up in order to “hopefully” make some money to cover the $115 million production budget.,
At the moment it is unclear how much money Borderlands has made. During its opening weekend, the film only brought in $8.8 million. With the negative press around the movie, it has unlikely budged far from that total.
With that being said, at least you won’t need to spend R400 on a movie night in South Africa to watch the trainwreck. The film will launch digitally on 30 August in some regions and 4 September in Australia. The movie is already available for pre-order on Prime Video and will also be out on Apple TV, Google Movies and other renting and streaming services at the time.
The Borderlands movie stars Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Gina Gershiwn, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. The crew are meant to be the Vaulthunters stuck on Pandora looking for treasure. According to reports, the Borderlands movie already began its production woes during the shooting of the film. Reports claim there were many reshoots and script changes during the production. It was also intended to be a mature-rated movie but was changed mid-way to accommodate younger audiences.
