Bungie is expected to roll out the Destiny 2 crossplay feature in the coming months but it seems the developer might have enabled it a little too early. According to The Verge, the feature went live and users were able to load up the game with players across both PC and Google Stadia at the same time.
Bungie quickly picked up on the early rollout and responded saying that they were not meant to have launched it yet. In a tweet by Bungie community manager Cozmo, the user confirmed seeing players making use of the Destiny 2 crossplay feature.

Cozmo responded by saying “we are seeing reports that some players are able to get a sneak peek at Crossplay. “This isn’t meant to be live yet and is not representative of the full experience. We will be implementing a fix to remove public access later this week, but in the meantime feel free to partake.
The Destiny 2 crossplay feature seemed to go live alongside the new Season of the Splicer content. Bungie has yet to announce any sort of timeframe or release window for the crossplay mode. However, seeing as it is now live across PC and Stadia, perhaps users can look forward to playing with their “other platform” friends soon.
Keep in mind that the Destiny 2 crossplay feature seems to be live only on PC and Stadia at this time. Console users don’t have a way to access it… Yet. Bungie says they will disable the Destiny 2 crossplay feature later this week.
