Burger King recently announced a collaboration with Call of Duty to promote Modern Warfare 2, the latest entry in the long-running first-person shooter series, in South Africa. The original announcement mentioned a travelling roadshow as well as in-store events and entry opportunities. We now have confirmation of which exact Burger King locations it will be appearing at across South Africa and what prizes await.
Throughout November, a travelling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game station is travelling to select Burger King restaurants. They will be appearing in Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town, so make sure you head to the locations below to enter and stand a chance at winning some awesome prizes including gear and a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Here are the locations you’ll be able to find the roadshow. Once you purchase any Call of Duty King Box Meal, you simply need to show your receipt to the crew there to enter. You’ll not only receive the BK Operator Skin and Double XP, but also get to play a time-trial version of the game at the station. This will get you a ranking on a leaderboard, which will then be added to a draw that could earn you prizes such as gaming headsets, monitors, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game, Burger Town T-shirts and meal vouchers.
- Location 1: Pretoria (9-13 November) | Burger King Kolonade
- Location 2: Durban (16-20 November) | Burger King Gateway
- Location 3: Cape Town (23-27 November) | Burger King N1 City
When you compete in the offline lobby, you’ll take part in a five minute game where you’ll have to compete for the highest number of eliminations before being added to the leaderboard. Leaderboards will run from 08h30 to 20h00 every day. Winners will receive the following prizes:
- Daily in-store winner: Earns a copy of the game.
- Overall highest score per store: Wins a Hyper X Headset and 24” AOC Gaming Monitor
- One random winner per store: Wins a Hyper X Headset and 24” AOC Gaming Monitor
This will all culminate in three exclusive Going-Dark events that will be hosted in N1 City Burger King in Cape Town from 24-26 November 2022. Participants will get night-vision goggles and enter the “Going-Dark Tunnel” for a challenging Modern Warfare 2 interactive experience.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
