Ahead of the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase which will reportedly host a major reveal for this year’s Call of Duty title after the main show, a new teaser image and strange website have appeared online pointing to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 being unveiled next month.
Developed by Treyarch, this year’s Call of Duty is reportedly a new Black Ops title set during the 1990s Gulf War. A new teaser website has popped up referencing 2020’s Black Ops: Cold War, which included multiple endings, each with different outcomes depending on player choices. The website also includes a short video of a team defacing Mount Rushmore. A TV on the site can also be interacted with, featuring six different channel each with various static patterns.
Adding a bit more fuel to the fire, reliable leaker billbil-kun, who regularly leaks the PlayStation Plus lineup each month, posted a new blurry teaser image showing a figure in a pose that should be familiar to fans of Black Ops 1-3. The leaker also doesn’t specifically name the subtitle of the next Call of Duty, though there’s no doubt it’s referencing this year’s release.

Microsoft acquired the multi-billion dollar Call of Duty franchise when it scooped up publisher Activision Blizzard for a historical $69 billion. Of course, this could mean some big changes coming to the company’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service. New reports suggest that Microsoft is considering adding tiers to the Game Pass model, the highest of which will give players access to this year’s Call of Duty game on day one.

None of this has been confirmed yet so we recommend taking it with a pinch of salt until the Xbox Games Showcase happening on 9 June, where we’ll surely hear more about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
