Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Launching Tomorrow

After a few rumours leaked the game last week, it seems Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is actually real and releasing tomorrow. According to a PlayStation Store listing (which has since been pulled down), Activision plans on rolling out the game on 31 March 2020 and it will include a handful of new features and even some goodies for users to take into Warzone and Modern Warfare with them.

Unfortunately, the game does not include the multiplayer portion of the original release. New improvements include textures, animations, physical rendering, higher resolution support, and HDR lighting.

According to sources, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has been ready for some time now but Activision was waiting for the right time to release the game.

Users who purchase the remaster will unlock some exclusive in-game items to use in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. These include calling cards, emotes, voice lines and even a few weapon skins. You can briefly see a few of these cosmetic items in the leaked trailer down below.

Pricing has not been revealed yet for the game. The pulled listing did have the game listed at €25 so expect to pay around R600 for this remaster. Will the changes warrant the price tag? We don’t know yet.
