The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta is just around the corner and you’re wondering what platforms get it first and when you can jump into the test with or without pre-ordering the game, we have you covered.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta starts this weekend with PlayStation owners being able to experience the test first. On 6 October, early access users can load up the client first. This includes users who have pre-ordered the full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game already. Then on 8 October, the beta opens for all PlayStation owners regardless of pre-ordering the game or not.
Next weekend, PC and Xbox players can jump into the beta alongside PlayStation owners and the same early access period kicks off first followed by the open beta. All PlayStation users can play the beta next weekend without early access restrictions.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta kicks off at different times. However, once the beta is running for that weekend, it will remain active for all users depending on their access. So the “early access” time is at one point and the “open beta” is at another point but at the same time just on another day.
- 19:00 CAT for South Africa
- 10 a.m. PDT for the West Coast of North America
- 1 p.m. EDT for the East Coast of North America
- 6 p.m. BST for the U.K.
- 7 p.m. CEST for West Mainland Europe
- 2 a.m. JST in Japan (the following day)
