Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Beta PlayStation First

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Might Be Coming to Game Pass This Week

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will reportedly hit Xbox Game Pass this week. According to a new rumour, the first-person shooter is expected to arrive on Microsoft’s subscription service on 24 July, which is this Wednesday, for consoles and PC. The same source also states that global console launch of Riot Games’ competitive shooter, Valorant, is set for 26 July.

According to leaker extas1s who has a decent history of leaks in the gaming industry, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will launch on Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC (no Cloud), presumably for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, this week Wednesday, 24 July. Microsoft hasn’t made an official announcement yet but we can probably expect it to happen later today or made as a surprise announcement on the day it arrives.

The same source also stated that the global console launch of Valorant will happen on Friday, 26 July and it will be free-to-play. As with all rumours and reports, we recommend taking all of this with a grain of salt until Microsoft makes the announcements.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched last year from developer Sledgehammer Games to mixed reviews, earning the lowest scores in the franchise to date. Many praised its gameplay, visuals and maps but also criticised its barebones, rushed campaign and lack of content. Numerous updates have dropped for the game since then as part of Activision’s post-launch support. Today, it’s in slightly better shape and might be worth playing through the short campaign, if just to see the story unfold.

In related news, despite negative feedback from the community and critics, Modern Warfare 3 still managed to top PS Store downloads for January 2024 alongside GTA V. Xbox players are still waiting for Microsoft to drop older Activision games on Game Pass following the company’s acquisition of the publisher.
