Activision and Infinity Ward plan on fully revealing their upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer next week during a reveal stream planned for 1 August 2019 but in the time being, they have revealed the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gunsmith feature.
Just ahead of the reveal, Infinity Ward has shed some light on the new Gunsmith customization feature that will “revolutionize” the approach to the game’s attachments and mod system.
The new system will have players get up close and personal on the weapon they are working on as they change every attachment and modify their weapon to their liking.
Players will be able to customize up to five parts on each weapon until every slot has been used. Activision states that the weapon customization system will work for both players’ two main loadout weapons.
Every weapon will have more than five attachment options, some of them up to nine but the player will have to decide what they want to adjust and change in order to favour a specific playstyle.
The Muzzle, Lasers, Optic, Stock, Rear Grip, Magazine, Underbarrel, Barrel, and Perk make up the nine available slots on most weapons and you can customize these with various attachments and changes.
Guns will use a Muzzle Break, Balanced Suppressor, Scout Combat Optic, Lightweight Stock, CQB grip, Corp Combat, Holo Sight and more to enhance your gameplay experience and tailor the gun to your liking.
Activision plans on revealing more about this at the multiplayer reveal stream on 1 August 2019. In the meantime, you can check out the 2V2 Gunfight mode that was revealed last down below and read more about it here.
