The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal kicked off this evening with a brand new look at the game’s new modes, features and much more. It has been a long time coming as usually Activision has the game fully revealed by E3 but it seems Modern Warfare is doing things a little differently.

That is to say, the multiplayer aspect of the game is looking much like a reinvention while at the same time keeping the core of the Call of Duty series intact.
The Livestream kicked off with an explosive trailer showcasing various game modes and killstreaks including the three new ones the Juggernaut, Infantry Assault Vehicle, and the White Phosphorus.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gameplay Details
- Console and PC cross-play confirmed for the beta and launch
- Multiplayer has low Time-to-Kill
- The game will feature free maps for all players and no season pass
- The game will have two factions in Multiplayer
- Automatic healing is back in multiplayer
- Gunsmith allows you to mod your weapon. Weapons have 30 to 60 attachments.
- The Gunsmith is the most in-depth weapon system ever in COD
- But there is a Stim equipment available
- The game drops the EKIA system and returns to K/DR
- There will be a selection of night map variants where players will fight in complete darkness
- Multiplayer does not have a mini-map
- The mini-map appears when specific killstreaks are used
- The game will have outlines for teammates so that you know where players are without the mini-map
- New modes include;
- 20v20 5 flag Domination mode
- 2v2 Gunfight
- 6v6 Standard
- 100-player Ground War mode
- Realism TDM (no HUD and hardcore ruleset)
- 10v10 Headquarters
- Cyber Attack Mode

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta
First thing confirmed was the beta which will launch on PS4 first and roll out on other platforms afterwards.
Activision confirmed the beta will feature cross-play across PC and consoles. The beta will kick off on 12 September for pre-orders and 14 September for the open beta followed by other platforms at a later date. The rollout for the beta is as follows:
- September 12 to September 13: PS4 Early Access
- September 14 to September 16: PS4 Open Beta
- Weekend 2: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, & PC on Blizzard Battle.net:
- September 19 to September 20: Early Access on Xbox One and PC. Open Beta on PS4
- September 21 to September 23: Open Beta on PS4, Xbox One, & PC
