Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Release Date and Trailer Revealed

The reveal all Call of Duty fans have been waiting for took place this evening (30 May at 19:00) as Activision revealed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare release date and a trailer featuring some “actual in-game footage”. The fan-favourite sub-franchise, Modern Warfare, seems to be getting a soft reboot and the live reveal event definitely did live up to the hype.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare release date is 25 October 2019 so you can mark those calendars right now. The game is being developed by Infinity Ward and honestly, this is the first Call of Duty’s I’ve been hyped for in several years. Everything about the reveal just screams quality with a darker tone and much of the game apparently being inspired by the controversial “No Russian” level. From the trailer, it is clear that the game will be about covert, stealth operations and for the lack of a better term, “going dark”.

Fans of the franchise will instantly recognize the character in the image above as Captain John Price who appeared in the original Modern Warfare as the main protagonist John “Soap” MacTavish’s commanding officer. Further, Price mentions “old friends” so we can guess that we will see more characters returning. Read the game’s description below.
