Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trials Return – Earn Extra XP Now

Shortly after the game’s release, Infinity Ward and Activision disabled the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trials due to a bug that caused players to earn 0 XP from participating in the Modern Warfare Trials. For those who don’t know, Trials are available only to players at officer ranks (above level 55) that sees players earn tickets to enter Trials and compete. Based on their performance, they earn a star rating for extra XP.

With the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update, Infinity Ward and Activision have reenabled Trails for the game. Players that are already in the officer ranks can now jump into the Modern Warfare Trails mode to test their skills and gain a tonne of additional XP, as the bug has been squashed with the latest update.

The developer explained on Reddit how Trails work and how much XP players can earn based on their performance rating:

Once you’re in Officer Ranks, you’ll earn tickets you can use to compete in Trials. Already in Officer Ranks? You’ll get access to tickets you already earned.

  • One ticket is needed to take part in a Trial
  • One ticket grants you 3 tries
  • Based on your performance, you’ll be given a 1, 2, or 3-star rating

Below, here’s how much you can earn for each star rating in Trials:

  • 0 Stars: 0 XP
  • 1 Star: 5000 XP
  • 2 Stars: 7500 XP
  • 3 Stars: 10000 XP

The developer also explained the Trials rotate, so it is wise to spend those tickets when you earn them to level up in the officer ranks even faster.
