Call of Duty: Vanguard Ranked Play Beta Arrives Tomorrow

Call of Duty: Vanguard competitive players will be collectively sighing a huge sigh of relief on 17 February, when Activision finally drops the Ranked Play Beta. Competitive players have been waiting for this since the game’s launch so that they can finally play as squads in an environment that caters to their CDL (Call of Duty League) preferences, where they can show off their competitive and team skills with exclusive Ranked Play rewards and achievements.

Call of Duty players were waiting (not so) patiently as Season Two of Vanguard dropped on 14 February, but only have to wait a few more days for Ranked Play to drop as well. Ranked Play has become a staple in the competitive Call of Duty titles, as it enables teams to play in a competitive 4v4 environment with the CDL settings on rather than “anything goes” in public lobbies.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Ranked Play Skill Divisions and Ratings

Call of Duty: Vanguard Ranked Play will consist of 7 skill divisions with 5 tiers in each division. This means that even when you place into a division after your initial 5 placement matches to earn your skill rating (SR), you will need to battle it out inside those divisional tiers to rank up to the next division.

There is also 150 level rank progression in Ranked Play and regular ladder events to keep players grinding for top spots. The top 250 players in the world will be featured on their “unique leaderboard” to showcase the best that Call of Duty: Vanguard has to offer in terms of players.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Ranked Play Rewards

Each competitive season will see new seasonal and skill-based rewards for players that are exclusive to Ranked Play. These rewards can be used in Call of Duty: Warzone as well, so players will be able to show off their skills in both games.

Rewards will include weapon blueprints, charms and camos that are exclusive to the season, so players will need to keep grinding in order to unlock everything on offer. Every five ranks that you advance will earn players a unique emblem and calling card. For those who make it to the max rank of 50, they will earn the “Ranked Royalty” Solange Operator Skin. The very best players who manage to gain 25 victories at the Master Skill division level will unlock the “Ranked Legend” Solange Operator Skin.

CDL has boasted in their announcement video that Vanguard Ranked Play contains “more skill information and precision than ever before seen in Ranked Call of Duty.” Since Vanguard has been having in-game errors and glitches lately, we will have to see how it stacks up against the other titles. Bear in mind that this Ranked Play is in Beta at the moment, so we will undoubtedly see some tweaks and changes to come.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Season two went live on 14 February and you can catch all the action in the Ranked Play Beta from 17 February 2022.
