Hellraid Dying Light

Cancelled “Hellraid” Game Announced as DLC for Dying Light

Back in 2013, Techland announced a brand new game called Hellraid. A medieval setting with FPS action. Sort of like a mash-up of The Elder Scrolls and Dying Light meets Hexen if you may. However, the game was delayed indefinitely in 2015. Dying Light, one of Techland’s crowning jewels, will get a Hellraid DLC this year, the company announced.

Little is known about the Hellraid DLC for Dying Light. However, if the content is anything close to the original game’s style, it could be something great. Hellraid resembled a DOOM Eternal-like experience while replacing guns with swords.

The short trailer shows next to nothing besides an arcade machine that gives off a Jumanji vibe.

The game’s official blurb reads:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]”Dying Light’s new DLC Hellraid will be your ticket to Hell and back.

“No, it’s not a metaphor. You will be literally hacking through demonic hordes of Hell.

“It all started with an arcade machine survivors found in the Tower’s basement while investigating an odd power outage. None of them could remember seeing this strange device ever before. They moved it upstairs, unaware of its true nature.”[/perfectpullquote]The fact that Dying Light is has received support from Techland five years after release is a huge achievement. The developer updated the game with new content earlier this year upon announcing the Dying Light 2 delay. The DLC arrives “summer” 2020 which is June – August in SA. We will update you as we learn more about this upcoming DLC.
