Capcom Showcase

Capcom Announces Showcase Event for 13 June

Capcom is hosting its own showcase event next week as the company plans on adding to the already-packed Summer Game Fest lineup. On 13 June, Capcom will host a 35-minute stream where they will play host to a number of new game announcements and updates on already-announced titles.

According to Capcom, the showcase will kick off at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET / 11 PM BST and 11 PM CAT. While no games have been officially confirmed yet, Capcom will most likely share updates on some titles we already know about. This includes both Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 Remake which both appeared during Sony’s State of Play stream last week.

We have also heard rumours of some unannounced games making their debut during the stream. For months now we have heard that Capcon was working on Dragon’s Dogma 2. The studio recently launched a 10th-anniversary website to celebrate the game. It would be a fitting time to announce a sequel if it was actually happening.

We have also been waiting in anticipation for the Resident Evil Village DLC. Capcom confirmed last year that the studio was working on DLC for the game. However, we haven’t heard anything since. Lastly, Capcom has also been extremely silent on the release plans for Resident Evil Re: Verse. The multiplayer game was originally meant to release around the launch of Resident Evil Village last year but has been missing in action ever since.

Capcom has a lot cooking at the moment so the showcase event is anyone’s game. You can tune in to the stream starting at 11 pm CAT on 13 June. Capcom says the stream will be available across their YouTube and Twitch channels. Find out more on the official blog post here.
