Capcom Pragmata 2023 Release Teaser

Capcom Delays Pragmata to 2023 With New Teaser Video

Capcom’s mysterious upcoming game Pragmata has received a new teaser trailer confirming that it won’t release in 2022 as originally planned, but will instead release in 2023. So far we have absolutely no idea what kind of game it is, despite having a reveal trailer promise something quite different than what we’ve seen before from the developer.

The teaser recently posted by Capcom has confirmed Pragmata‘s delay to 2023, showing (presumably) the RE Engine flexing its muscles with pretty stunning attention to detail in the character model. This is the first time we’ve received an update on Pragmata since its reveal during the PlayStation Future of Gaming showcase in 2020 when the PS5 was unveiled.

Going on what we know so far about the game, it looks to include some sci-fi elements, though the exact style of gameplay remains unknown. Capcom have been quite secretive about this upcoming project, and it seems like they’re taking their time developing it. Capcom provided a somewhat vague description of the game upon its announcement:

“Set in a dystopian near-future on Earth’s Moon, PRAGMATA will take you on an unforgettable adventure, powered by the Next Generation of gaming: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Our development team is hard at work on this brand new game title, making full use of new next-gen tech, such as ray-tracing, to create a breathtaking and immersive sci-fi setting like never before.”

Meanwhile, Capcom may be hard at work on other projects as well. Just this year, they released the critically acclaimed Resident Evil Village, which earned a nomination for Game of the Year at The Game Awards. DLC for the survival horror game is expected to arrive soon. There have also been rumours about Dragon’s Dogma 2 being in development, along with plenty of Resident Evil-related titles and spin-offs. The anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 has been all but confirmed at this point, and it may be targeting a 2022 or 2023 release as well.

Pragmata is currently in development at Capcom for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
