In the wee hours of this morning, Capcom hosted its special Showcase stream where the company detailed some updates on existing and upcoming games. If anything, the event was likely one of the most unnecessary streams we have had this past week. Capcom didn’t announce a release date for the Resident Evil 4 VR mode, delayed Pragmata and showed off the same Dragon’s Dogma stuff we saw a few weeks ago. But here’s a full rundown of the event.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Coming to PlayStation Too
Originally announced during the Xbox Showcase as a Game Pass title, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is also coming to PlayStation and PC when it releases. When is that? We have no idea because there’s no release window yet.
Pragmata Gets Delayed
Capcom released a short trailer for the mysterious Pragmata game. Sadly, the trailer was a delay announcement. Capcom says the studio needs more time to get the game ready and Pragmata won’t launch this year. Even though the game didn’t have a 2023 release window, don’t expect it until sometime in 2024.
Ghost Trick Gets Demo Ahead of Launch
Ghost Trick is launching on 30 June and Capcom announced a demo is live for the game now. You can play the first parts of the game and carry over your progress to the full game when it launches. Ghost Trick is a classic spectral detective game where players travel through time and can manipulate objects to alter the fate of characters. They do this all to solve a murder.
Ace Attorney Trilogy Releasing in 2024
Capcom is releasing another Ace Attorney Trilogy in 2024. The game will include Ace Attorney 4-6 and include some graphical changes and even voice-overs for certain characters. It is headed to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Exoprimal Gets Campaign Details
Capcom shared some new information on Exoprimal ahead of its release date next month. The studio has removed the PvP focus in the game, detailed a full campaign mode focused around a story and shared details on the game’s 10-player co-op mode.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is Bigger Than the First
To no one’s surprise, Capcom says Dragon’s Dogma 2 is four times bigger than the original game which was released back in 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The studio also confirmed the Pawn system is returning to Dragon’s Dogma and that the game is a single-player RPG. The only online features revolve around players summoning other pawns created by other players. Here’s the original announcement trailer because there wasn’t any new footage revealed.
