Capcom recently hosted its new Spotlight showcase for February 2025 which gave fans tons of new details for exciting upcoming games like Monster Hunter Wilds, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and some new Street Fighter 6 DLC. Here are all the announcements and trailers from the showcase.
First and foremost, Capcom revealed more details about the upcoming second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, including the fact that you’ll be able to hunt the game’s flagship monster, Arkveld. Onimusha: Way of the Sword Gets New Trailer and Details
Capcom kicked off its Spotlight showcase for February 2025 with a new look at Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a new entry in the long-dormant Onimusha franchise. The development team went into some detail about recreating historical, real-life locations as well as creating compelling characters, a new protagonist and engaging enemies. The story will be set in the Edo Period where we’ll face off against creatures called Genma. Capcom confirmed that the game will be challenging but still accessible to all fans of the action genre.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is Getting Remastered in 2025
Capcom also unveiled that Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, which released in 2002 for the PS2, is getting remastered for modern consoles in 2025. No other details were shared about the remaster other than the announcement trailer, though Capcom hopes it will keep Onimusha fans busy and happy while they wait for Way of the Sword next year.
Monster Hunter Wilds Gets New Trailer and Second Open Beta Details With Arkveld
Capcom revealed that the second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, set to take place this weekend and the weekend after on all platforms, will feature the game’s flagship monster, Arvkeld, in an advanced quest. Additionally, Capcom will also add Private Lobbies for friends to create without interruption, while an Online Single Player mode will let players hunt monsters solo unless they need assistance in multiplayer.
Progression won’t be carried over to the full game. However, Capcom confirmed that players will be able to carry their character data over, which will save you the headache from having to spend two hours creating a new character on release.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Gets May Release Date
The Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which features Capcom vs. SNK Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Project Justice and Plasma Sword: Night of Bilstein, will officially release on 16 May. Street Fighter 6 is Getting Fatal Fury’s Mai Today
Finally, Capcom closed off the Spotlight showcase by announcing that Fatal Fury‘s Mai will be added to the Street Fighter 6 roster today.
