Capcom’s Resident Evil Ambassador program has issued an update for members who reached a new specific tier in the program. In addition, the developer began teasing a new “RE” reveal of some sorts for 10 June 2020. While no further details have been shared, this could be the much-rumoured reveal of Resident Evil 8.
Those of you who don’t know, the Ambassador Program offers VIP news and benefits to a select group of hardcore RE fans. Past reveals including the remake of the second game and third game were all teased to members beforehand and some details even leaked. Capcom offers members participation in reveal events, game testing of unannounced titles and early news. The program helps Capcom by allowing members to playtest games as well as get feedback on possible early developments.

The latest tease does not have much to go on. However, recent rumours claim it could either be the rumoured Resident Evil 8 or Resident Evil 4 Remake. The latter apparently kicked off development in early 2020. We have also seen and heard reports from the next instalment in the series set to release on next-gen consoles in early 2021. Other rumours claim Sony will host the reveal of RE8 or the Resident Evil 4 Remake during ts PS5 showcase. Perhaps this Capcom tease has finally given us a date to work with for that reveal event?
Whatever happens, we will keep you posted on the news. In the meantime, catch up on some RE8 rumours here.
