We are all extremely excited for the last film before Avengers: Endgame and the subsequent end of the MCU’s phase 3. The Captain Marvel trailers shown so far look fantastic with Brie Larson jumping into the boots of Carol Danvers in her origin story, fighting the Skrull with a younger Nick Fury who still has both his eyes. If you are like me, you will probably never want the film to end when you sit down to watch it. All good things, however, must come to an end, but I am excited to report that the Captain Marvel runtime will be over two hours.

According to the official AMC Theaters website listing the film, the Captain Marvel runtime will be 2 hours and 10 minutes. It remains to be seen if they count the credit and post-credit scenes with this total, but they very likely do. Marvel has not officially announced the Captain Marvel runtime but if you look at the previous MCU films, the runtime sits right in the middle in 10th place with Thor: Ragnarok. That’s 130 minutes of awesomeness.
For a solo hero MCU films, Captain Marvel’s runtime should be the sixth longest, with Captain America: The Winter Soldier taking the top spot at 136 minutes, which isn’t that much longer either. Avengers: Infinity War is, of course, the longest MCU film to date, with a runtime of a whopping 147 minutes.
Although this all looks very official, keep in mind that Marvel has not announced the official Captain Marvel runtime, so if the runtime is off by a few minutes don’t hulk out on me.
What do you think about the reported Captain Marvel runtime and is it the length you were hoping for? Let us know in the comment section below.
