The PS5 might only release on 19 November 2020 in South Africa but it seems users will be able to purchase their games before the console. Multiple retailers in SA confirmed to us this morning that release dates for some big PS5 exclusive games are set to launch earlier than expected.

PS5 Loads Devil May Cry 5 in Just 2 Seconds – Here’s Proof
Starting on 12 November 2020, users can pick up all first-party PS5 games including Demon’s Souls, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Destruction All-Stars, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. However, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition will launch on 17 November followed by Godfall on 19 November. Here are all the games releasing early.
All this means is that if you have ordered any of the above titles, retailers will get them to you before the console’s launch on 19 November 2020. Sure you are going to have to wait to put them to use, but we won’t complain. These retail release dates have most likely been pushed forward to align with the digital versions. While the PS5 only launches in SA on 19 November, all games are now up for pre-order on the new fancy PlayStation Store. In addition, they will also unlock on 12 November to coincide with the US release of the console.
Keep in mind that some retailers may not offer the early sale of PS5 games in South Africa. I suggest you contact them to find out.
