Chainsaw Man Part 2 Manga July Release Date

Chainsaw Man Part 2 Manga Returns in July

The popular Chainsaw Man manga by creator Tatsuki Fujimoto is returning for part 2 next month. The news was shared by Shonen Jump, confirming that part 2 of the manga will begin appearing on 13 July 2022 in Shonen Weekly Jump Plus, with new chapters arriving weekly.

It has been two years since the Chainsaw Man manga concluded its first part as fans eagerly awaited the series’ return. The first part ran for 97 chapters and told the story of Denji aka Chainsaw Man joining a government organisation to eliminate the mysterious and deadly Gun Devil which has been causing havoc and destruction around the world.

The first part of Chainsaw Man concluded on a cliffhanger, leaving more to come as Fujimoto confirmed that it was simply the first part that completed its arc. With the news of part 2 finally returning, fans are finally getting a continuation to Denji’s story and the numerous threads left hanging after part 1’s exciting conclusion.

In addition to the manga, Chainsaw Man is also getting an overdue anime adaptation from Attack on Titan: The Final Season and Jujutsu Kaisen studio MAPPA, set to air this October. The anime currently doesn’t have a confirmed episode count, though it will likely adapt the first part of the manga across multiple seasons. A teaser trailer was released last year showing the striking, high-quality animation on display (below).

In related news, the One Piece manga by Eiichiro Oda is set to enter its final saga after a month-long hiatus later this month. The late Kentaro Miura’s legendary manga Berserk has also been confirmed to continue with a new chapter from Holyland author (and Miura’s close friend) Kouji Mori arriving next week, which will adapt the final stretch of the Fantasia arc and conclude the manga’s story.
